# Returns and Refunds

This policy covers products bought through the Ricardo's Detail Garage online store. It sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. It does not limit or replace them.

## Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

These rights apply whether or not a product has been opened or used.

## Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items

If a product arrives faulty, damaged, or is not what you ordered, contact the team within 30 days of delivery. Include your order number and a photo of the issue.

The team will arrange a replacement or refund and cover the cost of return postage. You choose replacement or refund where the failure is major.

## Change of mind

We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery when:

- The product is unopened and unused
- The original packaging and any seal are intact
- You have proof of purchase

Return postage for change-of-mind returns is paid by you. Once the product is received and inspected, the refund is issued to your original payment method.

## Items we cannot accept back for change of mind

For safety and hygiene reasons, the following cannot be returned for change of mind. Your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply if any of these is faulty.

- Opened or used car-care chemicals and consumables
- Gift cards

## How to start a return

Email the team at store@ricardosdetailgarage.com.au with your order number and the reason for the return. The team will reply with instructions and the return address before you send anything back.

## Refunds

Once a returned product is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 5 business days to your original payment method. Card refunds can take a few additional days to appear, depending on your bank.
